Happy Teacher's Day

I would like to wish all my lovely teachers who have taught me so well over the past year and a half a happy teacher's day with a self-written poem.

Your constant dedication, love and care,

That you shower upon us throughout the year;

The priceless experiences that you share,

Leaves fond memories we’ll always hold dear

Since our first day when we arrived at Monk’s Hill,

You tirelessly nurtured us to survive any test;

Equipping us with knowledge and a strong will,

That wherever we go, we will rise to be the best.

Yet there are the times when we’ve let you down,

When we repay your kindness with apathy;

Just before exam, we go shopping downtown,

Ruining your hard work in a moment of folly.

Still, patiently you try to turn our lives around,

To transform us from a child into an adult;

Despite the many challenges that abound,

You’ve help us to survive the precarious tumult.

Today we promise to make your sacrifice bear fruits,

To strive to work hard, to stand out from the crowd;

With your imparted wisdom, in us, taking roots,

To grow up successful, to make you proud.
