THE BLOODBAATH

The Baathists invaded their neighbour Kuwait,
Violating the rights of a sovereign state;
Planning to replace an established government,
With an evil regime led by a tyrant.

The atrocious works of the oppressor’s hand,
Spilled innocent blood all over the land;
Saddam slaughtered without care,
While torture was rampant everywhere.

The UN’s warning Saddam did not heed,
Although it warned of consequences for his greed.
It took a major military defeat,
Before he finally pondered retreat.

As a parting shot in leaving the fight,
The forces of darkness set the oil wells alight.
Oil slicks caused an environmental catastrophe,
While its fluctuating prices rocked the world economy.

Entrenched in his wayward course,
Saddam still feels no remorse.
The typical, egregious tyrant,
He will always remain unrepentant!

What a bloodBAATH! What more can I say. Just look at his arrogant demeanour in court. Face it, your misdeeds and evil will eventually come to haunt you!
